Background: Including Indonesia, the elderly population worldwide is on rise. This situation closely related to increase in incidence and prevalence of non-communicable diseases. Eating behavior risk non- communicable NCDs elderly. Therefore, nutrition intervention should be carried out from old age.Objectives: The purpose this study review potential nutritional interventions prepare for a healthy ageing process an Indonesian context.Discusion: uses social cognition theory emphasize importance education, development products with biologically active compounds, practical guidelines that influence individual dietary behavior. Nutritional take into account Indonesia’s existing food-based balanced diet patterns adults Indonesia has large population, ethnic cultural diversity, which together affect people’s daily consumption various foods.Conclusions: Customized education programs functional foods are appropriate can implemented Indonesia.
